This month, I want to make a picnic blanket; backed with denim or canvas or something sturdy. We're having a sports day at work on the 22nd, but since I don't do sports-ball, I need something to sit on under a tree so I can read a book or knit. :P
This fabric is from a few years back; pattern is called "Mostly Modern" from Back Porch Fabric in Pacific Grove. Gail's demo was the same feature fabric but with just navy. I added lime green, aqua, orange, and purple. <3

April OMG - done
I couldn't sleep last night, so... I made good use of my time:
It feels good to be caught up with the ends! And I got to add two more rows in purple, on the left side below:

Now I need to keep the sides even... :P |

April OMG - crazy stripes (again)
Craft-wise, last month didn't go very well, mostly due to me being grumpy. Even though I know that making things puts me in a happy frame of mind, grumpiness makes me not want to create...
But I did get one side darned in last month, so that's something!
Part of me thinks that my reluctance to darn in these ends is a metaphor for my life. I don't like leaving the ends all tangled up, but it's more fun to add new rows than it is to tidy up the past... But a blanket isn't finished until the ends are darned in, or the binding sewn down. With the hectic nature of life, you don't always get to go back and finish up the UFOs that you cast aside/misplaced/forgot about...
I'd like to break this bad habit of moving on too quickly, so I'm keeping this as my OMG for April and linking up with Patty of Elm Street Quilts. I started this blanket in April of 2014.

march OMG - crazy stripes
More ends to darn in, because I don't like this part and I need the external motivation:

Feb OMG - Done!
This was an easy and quick project, with just enough thinking to keep me engaged.
I'm amused that they came out slightly different sizes. And next time, I will cut out all the pieces before sewing them together! I've decided that I like a smaller flange and I want to practice more to make it more even...!

Feb OMG - pillowcases x2
I need something simple this month, since I am distracted by other things. I bought this fabric back in January 2018 to make pillowcases. So, let's do this!
